The state of psychological exhaustion due to the restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic has led us to find it difficult to renew our energies, find motivation when there is no clear horizon and we have even stopped enjoying the forms of contact that we had managed to maintain with our loved ones.
Curbing our need to touch and make plans is difficult to maintain for this long, but it is important to know that it has an end.
Knowing that it is totally human to feel how we feel, at this stage we have to use our creativity more than ever to scratch a bit of energy from wherever we can find it.
We can call this creative adjustment.
Every time I see the performance shared by the family in the video below, I think of the hours they have invested in creating art, connection, fun and breaking the routine in the middle of a pandemic that feels endless.
I hope its viewing helps you feel even if only a spark of energy and who knows if it could inspire you to create your own strategies to take care of your connections and your mental health in this situation.
Hang in there!
